《卡通總動員》的主角德魯是一比特卡通畫家，十年來他畫的總是bunbun兔子，老闆要求他畫出一個新的兔子形象。 而德魯早已厭倦，靈感蕩然無存，他精神頹喪，恍恍惚惚地睡著了。
半夢半醒之間，他聽到吵鬧聲，發現電視裏居然又是bunbun兔子卡通片，他正要關掉它時，卻被電視吸了進去，從此在卡通的世界裏展開了一段奇妙冒險。
